Homestead village – a unique history

We love the peace and quiet of our little village of Homestead.

It has a different history from the other 6 villages of the Amana Colonies, which I explain in the video above.

Die Heimat Country Inn played an important role in the very earliest days of Homestead.

Die Heimat is still an important part of Homestead today.

Visit us this fall - we still have lots of rooms open and would love to host you.

Review from a recent guest:

"I don't do many reviews, but wanted to share how much we enjoyed our stay. In my mind, a stay like this needs to be evaluated for two components; the building, and the people who run the business.
The Inn is remarkably well maintained, our room was very clean and comfortable. The bed and comforter were exceptional. The photos on the wall really provided a glimpse into the interesting life of the folks who lived in the area during colonies hey day.
June and Mark are very kind and helpful, a great resource for information about the area. I have a few dietary concerns that I need to adhere to, and they were great about providing me with a delicious breakfast that really hit the mark.
We had a great time and highly recommend." Tom K.
